GRUE Invitation

Ladies and Gentleman,

It is my distinct pleasure to invite you all to an experiment. There is a phenomenon in the tech community called an "Unconference", which, loosely put, "is a conference where the content of the sessions is driven and created by the participants, generally day-by-day during the course of the event, rather than by a single organizer, or small group of organizers, in advance." (see the wikipedia entry here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Unconference ).

I tried this technique on the spur of the moment at Shibaricon for the advanced suspension class that I had to facilitate at the last second - it was great. I then sponsored (with the help of My Wife Bound) a weekend-long event in Madison, WI that I called "Graydancer's Ropetastic Unconference Extravaganza" (GRUE) with positive resuts which you can read about here. The West Michigan Rope group also thought it would be a good idea, and we held a thrilling weekend event...and there's talk about it even perhaps spreading to foreign lands.

Now, with the help of lily & A'ja, it's time to bring it to St. Louis!. Consider this the official invitation to come to "Meet Me in St. GRUE-ey! It will be the last weekend in March (28-30)

Why, yes, I did come up with the acronym before the title, why do you ask?

I can't tell you what we'll be doing, because that's going to be up to them what shows up. I can tell you that the general format is: meet & greet (or, more aptly, Tie & Cry?) Friday evening, for whoever can make it; Unconference throughout the day Saturday; play party saturday night, and either more workshops and/or kinky brunch sunday, with everyone who's not cleaning up kicked out sometime sunday afternoon/evening.

This is something different than your average kink event.  If there is someone you REALLY think should be invited, please let Lily & A'ja know first, and most likely they'll say "sure thing, go for it!" Obviously if you have a regular partner and only one of you got this email, the other is welcome. Others, perhaps, if you're one of those poly freaks. I can try and arrange crash space, with enough advance notice, but hotels abound pretty close to the location, as well.

RSVP ASAP, and if you can't make it this time, I'm hoping to do more in the future; there almost certainly will be a next time.
